GREEN CITY - Campinas is a city with many squares, woods and parks. And these resting and entertaining green spaces largely contribute to population in good quality of life. Among several options provided by the city, the most popular and traditional is Taquaral Lake that, within a noble area, provides not only a wide green area, but also space for cultural and sports activities. This place where thousands of people converge, especially on weekends. Currently, several other parks are being created in the city. Environmental Protection Area - With an area of 223 km² (28% of city total) Campinas EPA comprises most of natural woods of the city. Nossa Senhora da Conceição Metropolitan Cathedral - Its construction was started in October 6th 1807 and ended in December 8th 1883. Façade design was conceived by the architect Cristovan Binini and finishing was performed by the engineer Francisco de Paula Ramos de Azevedo.

Cultural Conviviality Center - Located at Tom Jobim Square, in Cambuí district, this is one of the points presenting the largest concentration of night bars in the city; this is the meeting point for population for Municipal Symphonic Orchestra (OSM) presentations. With a wide acoustic shell, Centro de Convivência is an architectural assembly with two more theaters, an internal gallery for art exhibits, OSM headquarter and a bar.

A LEISURE AND ENTERTAINMENT POLE - Campinas is provided with or is close to some of the largest leisure and entertainment poles in the State of São Paulo and in the country. Among the main destinations for those, who are looking for fun, we can mention:

Hopi Hari: the biggest thematic and cultural park in the country, 20 minutes far from Campinas.

Wet in Wild: aquatic park with a capacity for 7 thousand people, located in the city of Itupeva, 20 minutes far from Campinas.

Japi Mountain: an important environment and forest reserve, with several possibilities for ecological tourism, such as trekking in the forest, waterfalls and watching tourism. It is around 30 minutes from Campinas.

Holambra: Holambra Tourist Resort, the city of the fl owers, is one of the most important fl owers producer and export centers in Brazil. The small and cozy city also stands out with its Dutch food. It is 30 minutes far from Campinas.

Fruits Circuit: this region comprises nine towns: Indaiatuba, Itatiba, Itupeva, Jarinu, Jundiaí, Louveira, Morungaba, Valinhos and Vinhedo. All of them show a strong presence of rural sector in their economy, especially fruit growing. Besides the best fruits in the country, other attractions are also offered, such as:

Farms within EPA (Environmental Protection Area in Japi Mountain), with trekking, waterfalls or resting options.

Water Circuit: comprising the Resorts of Amparo, Serra Negra, Socorro, Monte Alegre do Sul, Lindóia, águas de Lindóia, Jaguariúna and Pedreira, the circuit is located in Mantiqueira Mountain. Today, their resorts are very cheerful entertainment centers with an advanced hotel and services infrastructure, similar to the best and most modern European centers. Water quality, internationally recognized for its healing power is one of the resorts special attractions. They also provide tourist with most charming images of a natural beauty, valley covered with a lot of green, waterfalls, drinking water springs, water and weather among the best in the world. Circuit also became an important center for conventions and events and a place chosen by sports and ecological tourism enthusiasts.

Adventure tourism: the districts of Sousas and Joaquim Egídio, besides some other towns close to Campinas, such as Socorro and Brotas, offer several options and are important representatives in National Circuit of Adventure Sports. They are located in a mountain region with several river rapids and activities such as arborism, aqua ride, floater cross, canyoning, caving, cascading, ducking, climbing, mountain biking, off-road, rafting, rappel, tyrolean, trekking, free flight and paraglide.

Anhumas and Maria Fumaça Train Station: 130 years old, the ancient train station from the coffee cycle time preserves its old facilities, as well as an old train and the old locomotive, Maria Fumaça, with tours from Campinas to Jaguariúna. Facilities and Maria Fumaça are constantly used for films and historic soap-operas productions.
